After the votes were counted at the Karenni Refugee Committee elections in 2014, Maw Moe Bue became chairperson for Ban Mai Nai Soi camp.
As former camp secretary (2011-2013) and a graduate of the Karenni Leadership and Management course, Maw Moe Bue was ready to take on the mantle as camp leader, a job that involves working closely with NGOs, UNHCR, CBOs, and other camp management partners.
In order to strengthen her capacities, Maw Moe Bue has attended trainings in leadership, communications and other topics provided by TBC.
The trainings improve the capacities of camp management staff and help ensure they are accountable for their work, Maw Moe Bue says.
